What is a CSA? – Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) consists of a group of people who support a local farmer by purchasing “shares” of their fresh organic produce. In turn the farmer delivers his/her fresh produce to the city on a weekly basis
When? – CSA’s usually run for about 20 weeks, from May until the end of October. Farmers deliver fresh vegetables to a drop off location in the city once a week.
Where? - Our drop off point will be at the Church of St. Matthew and St. Timothy at 26 W. 84th Street between Central Park West and Columbus Ave.
Is There a Cost? - Yes. Shares of fresh, organically grown vegetables are about $400 dollars for the season or about $20 a week. This cost includes a weekly supply of vegetables, which feeds a family of 4 people.
Why Join? - Eat healthier! Get the freshest produce available! Support local farms and the regional farm economy! It’s good for our community!
Who? – Church of the Incarnation, in partnership with Just Food will be starting a CSA this spring on the Upper West Side of Manhattan
